A Winter Morning...

   Just a day after his birthday Ishan had his paper of end semester exam, the subject which he considered tough. That's why he didn't celebrate his birthday properly and wrapped up wishing calls shortly a day before,on his birthday. He took charge of his study quite seriously. 

On the day of exam, around at 8:15 in the morning, he left his room with his roommate Chetan and reached the canteen to have breakfast, that too, with mind full of how will the exam conclude. All friends left canteen, Ishaan too, and they started walking towards main building.

Ishan was around 20mtrs away from the college structure and 10 mtrs away from the library when he saw her, standing there, just before the library, with her friends, as usual, wearing college uniform and like everytime, without any change n fault Ishan started trembling.

Wearing a blue jeans and a checks shirt, his shyness and state of mind was palpable to nobody but his friend Chetan and her. Due to his trembling, he never used to face her, he had a history of keeping his head down and moving from place immediately, where she is present. The same happened on that day too....

After seeing her from corner of his eyes(as always),Ishan directly reached the board where seating arrangement was displayed, in order to avoid his own pity.

Now again he started thinking about exam so that he can regain his focus which has been hampered because of the face he has seen before his eyes just now!!

Chetan was noticing this, but he didn't take it seriously as it was normal for him since last few months. They both started searching for their respective roll numbers and room numbers on the board. After the search happened Ishan turned over to see other friends of him to chat with and ......

She was coming to the board with couple of girls with her, to check her seating arrangement!!!

It is a normal thing for anyone of us but, not for Ishan, on that particular morning...

It was the first time when she was before him, just a meter away, halted exactly before him and looking forward, to the board.

Now the line was straight, Ishaan-she- Chetan, though Chetan was bit far from the place.

Ishan lost completely, the Focus he was trying to regain now went too far, he started fumbling not aware of what is happening around, he forgot that there were 400-500 students at that place surrounding him. To sum up, he was just gone for a moment.

Still to get over this by doing anything and everything, he started shouting on Chetan to come with him immediately. Chetan was confused what to do, how to reply Ishan. He too stumbled for a time or two and came to Ishan soon. After entering the college building, they both went to their respective exam halls and Ishan managed to complete his exam somehow. 

Hussshhhh....so, does it ends here?

NO.

Its just started now! For Ishan...

It's been years now, but still, he is not able to understand, what happened that day ? Definitely, it was nothing to take away from thing for all of us but it wasn't for Ishan...

Though, it wasn't the first time he saw her or started liking her, this affection started long ago but this was the first time when she was at a distance of just a leap from him, it was the first time when he saw something in her eyes like she wants to say something-good or bad, don't know, but SOMETHING.....

Somehow he survived those 3 hours in the exam hall,reconciling between what he prepared since days to vomit on answer sheet and what he experienced just before entering in the room. Frustration

 Ishan felt really sad and a bit frustrated at the same time. Since he started liking her, he never dared to maintain even an eye contact with her and the reason for that might be his fear, how she will react to this. But for the first time, he made an attempt to go close to his love, to have word with her, but to Ishan, it looked like, she denied him for that and this thing was breaking him like hell.  He was at unrest so on same day, he text her. He asked, why she moved away from the bench when he was about to approach her? Is there something bothering her? He was waiting for her reply and he got it within a couple of hours. She replied that it wasn't her work bench where Ishan was heading, she moved to her working place only. Though she was genuine in her context, Ishan wasn't able to digest this as he wanted to talk with her anyhow(even a stud becomes moron in this journey of love)... The Flashback...Beginning

"Hey idiot, Are you out of your senses? What are you talking man?" Chetan continued, "At an early age,why are you talking like you have already grown up, you need to complete your studies, pursue the career, make yourself stable. Instead of this why are you talking absurd? Do you think she will accept this forever together proposal of yours if you are jobless? Obviously no dude, she won't, in fact, no one will."
